DIGGING A LITTLE DEEPER;;
Appearance: Although his fur might have the potential for a pure white hue it is usually so stained and scuffed with blood, dirt and undergrowth that it instead offers a murky, creamy sort of shade instead, though still incredibly pale. Of course he owes this distinct colouration to his arctic wolf heritage, and as you would expect of such a species he is a stocky, well-muscled and thick furred wolf, carrying very little of his father’s grey wolf frame, aside from his long, slender legs. Though these do make his large paws, ideal for carrying him over the snow, look even larger and give his appearance a sort of clumsy, mismatched look. The light colouration of his fur is consistent across his body, making the black of his lips, nose and around his eyes even more stark and fierce. Gael has a strong face, with his scars hidden by the thickness of his fur and only the fierce golden flame of his eyes to break away from the white.
Personality: Gael is interesting, to say the least. He is a powerful wolf, with strength and speed, but very little in the way of intelligence. He tends to go by instinct alone, following his gut and hoping for the best without any real thought or planning to his actions, which doesn’t always work out too well for him. He is the proud sort, who would hold his head up high and be sure of his decisions no matter how foolish they might seem to others, he cares little for what those around him think, but despite that he doesn’t like to be alone. It is, after all, in the nature of a wolf to be among his own kind. Although he is full grown, and more than capable in the fight and the hunt, Gael can be childish in his mannerisms, quick to play rather than fight, and stubborn when scolded. His pup like nature is probably a result of his overly spoiled upbringing, but it does make him an excellent wolf to have around the young ones as he is sure to get along with them, and fierce in his protective instincts when it comes to his pack.
Gael is as much of a team player as one can be; loving, honest (sometimes to a fault) and generous, despite what first impressions might lead some to believe. Although he certainly isn’t suited to lead, thanks to his lack of consideration, planning or even basic common sense at times, he is certain to be a valuable and fun member of any family.
History:Gael was born in a warm den, surrounded by loving family. His mother was an Arctic wolf, and told him of her home land far to the north, and the beautiful ice covered plains she had played on there, before being brought to this strange place by the tail-less ones. She told him and his brothers often of how she had been frightened and alone, when a strong and foolish young grey wolf had found her and followed her around the hills for days, refusing to leave her side. His father had always been particularly proud that he had gained such a beautiful mate through persistence alone. As he grew up, he thought often what wonderful parents he had, his mother was warm and gentle, and so intelligent that she could l the pack where to find the prey even if the winter snows had come and all the tracks and scents from sight.
He grew up happy, healthy and well loved. The pack had no trouble on the hunt, thanks to their combined strength and the intelligence of their mother. They might have only been a small pack, but his mother could co-ordinate their skills and instruct them so perfectly that they succeeded more often than packs twice their size. Gael had two brothers, and three sisters, and although he looked the most like his beautiful mother of all of them, he was much like his father when it came to their personalities. His father would take him out often to patrol the territory and talk to him, sharing in the old stories that had been passed down through the ages, singing their songs to the sky, playing in the snow. Until he was four years old he enjoyed the company of his family, even when his brothers and sisters had drifted off in search of mates and lives of their own.
At last came the time when his old parents told him that it was time he too found his own way in life. Time for him to find a new pack where his future could truly blossom.
