Appearance: This is, in many respects, your typical young male red wolf. His thick, well kept coat offers a glossy shine and a selection of hues, from the soft burnt reds to the warm browns and creams that give him his distinctly auburn appearance. He is more than aware that the vibrant selection of colours mottled across his frame help to give him a handsome, bold appearance, which is only further enhanced by the rich, warm brown of his large and always very attentive eyes. As you would expect of a wolf of this variety, he is not stocky and strong like some of the larger species, but tall and slim. His muscles are toned and aid in speed and agility rather than power. He still holds some of the lanky, slim qualities of his youth, but is not without evidence of his years, of which one particularly deep reminder can be seen rather clearly by the old wound on his foreleg. The fur no longer grows there, and the flesh holds the dark shade one would expect of such an old scar, though it has long since healed and no longer provides any impact on his mobility.
Romeo is a proud young wolf, with confidence in himself and a charismatic way of doing something, he is very sure of his own charm and almost always holds himself with his head up and his tail level. Never the type to show obvious submission in his body language he can be considered rather dominant and bold in his mannerisms.
Personality: Romeo is, in every sense of the phrase, a lady's man. He considered himself to be charming, and offers a highly charismatic air about him, and most importantly he would do anything in order to see a female smile. While he can certainly tolerate other males his interest lies entirely in the happiness of females, regardless of whether he must protect them, accompany them or romance them he would lay down his life gladly to see a female smile. This can easily be considered a weakness, as it makes him prone to attacks from females and he would never forgive himself if he hurt one, even in self defence.
His soft voice and gentle ways are set purely for the intention of charming the ladies, it would take a strong and particularly special female in order to get him to settle down and be loyal to just one wolf. Romeo sees no problem with his tendency to participate in several romances at any given time, and has little concern for whether his partners are of a pack or loners like himself, though he would certainly never allow himself to be tied down and limited by the restrictions of a pack. Not with so many young maidens out there looking to find a lover who can be relied upon and who can sweep them off their feet and give them the romance they dreamed of from puphood. He has a high opinion of himself, but for the most part he isn't wrong; after all his ability with females is well practised and his success rate in seducing them is no joke.
History: It may surprise some to know that Romeo wasn't always named as such. When he was born Karr was the name his mother so lovingly bestowed upon him, and he lived with that name for the fist year of his life. However his interest in the opposite sex started early, and it was the daughter of his pack's alpha that he had so foolishly taken a fancy to in his tender youth. Not yet the womanizer he grew to be he romanced and courted her with devotion and loyalty, believing that they were deeply in love and would remain together for all their life. And thus, for one year they enjoyed their blissful romance, and the youth-filled happiness of their days, until they were both considered adults in the summer of their second year. The alpha announced that his daughter would be promised to the strongest young brute in the pack, and they would be required to challenge in order to take her as their mate, and thus take the position of future alpha at her side.
Karr was not a strong fighter, though he did try to win the challenge for the sake of their love. His leg was badly injured in the battle and he lost, barely escaping with his limb intact. Though injured and ashamed he met with the little princess and pleaded that she run away with him, but she turned him down, insisting that it was time for her to grow up and accept her responsibilities. Her parting words stuck with him for all his days, he had provided her that the love and memories she would cherish all her life, but he could not provide her with the future she needed. He left the pack, unable to watch as she continued her life as the mate to another brute, instead he decided that he would find a new life, and provide every female with those precious memories they would treasure, even if he couldn't give them the future they needed.
It was an old rogue who gave Karr his new name, Romeo. And it was this rogue that travelled with Romeo, educated him and guided him; teaching him about the desires and the fancies of females and how to romance them appropriately. Although the two parted ways once Romeo had learned all he needed to know, he still considered the old male to be a friend and teacher, and thinks of him with the fondness of a father.
