A pure black wolf stepped out into the open sunlight where the water was. It was very tempting for Dyrid to walk right into the water to relax in the warmth caused by the sun's rays. Though the black wolf refrained from doing so. He had business to do. The wolf calmly sat down and scanned the area around him. His ears picked up the sound of the birds chirping in between the tree limbs and the water calmly swirling gently. Dyrid swished his tail a couple times before going completely still. The only piece of his body that moved was his chest and nostrils as he breathed in and out.
Dyrid stayed like this for quite a while as he waited patiently for the wolf that he was expecting to sense him. After months of keeping a close eye on both territories of the Packs that lived here, this was the first time that the black wolf had ever crossed into one of their territories. At least to be seen anyway, Dyrid had his ways of scoping an area without even being detected. It came with the training that his father had taught him years ago. Though Dyrid had always had a natural gift of being a spy. This time though, Dyrid would not take no for an answer, though he also had a strong sense that this particular Alpha would know not waste such talent. It was why Dyrid had chosen the Cougar Creek Pack and not the other one.
The black wolf sensed another wolf approaching before he could see or even really hear the other wolf coming. Again, a product of his training. Dyrid stayed where his was, as still as he was, and continued to wait patiently. Just when the other wolf was within hearing range, Dyrid said softly, "I've been waiting for you."

DEXEROUS. i want you stuffed into my mouth, hold you down and tear you open live inside you - love i'd never hurt you.
╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Cougar Creek had been growing, thriving, evolving. It was strong and relentless - Dexerous was proud of its advancements. He often prowled the borders - loners seemed keen on exploring its limits, if not he was satisfied as simply marvelling in his own achievements. The brute smirked, flexing his shoulders and watching his claws scar at the earth as he stalked the territory. His mind was boggled with anticipation, determination and the desire to thrive. Cougar Creek was the most formidable pack within Yellowstone, unchallenged by the measly efforts of Grand Canyon (or so he preferred to believe).
"I've been waiting for you." The massive brute's head snapped up, ears slick to the flat of his skull. There the wolf was, an onyx shadow basked in the pool of light. Dexerous hadn't noticed, but every muscle in his body was rigid, the fur along scruff spiked up. How he hated to be surprised. The brute squared his shoulders to the loner, lips peeling back in the beginnings of a snarl. Then composure set in. Dexerous was not some brute to be put on the defence, this loner was in his territory, in which he had the authority. Copper ears lifted ever so slightly, his massive head and tail rising defiantly. Dexerous forced his lips to settle, which painted into the makings of an artificial smirk. Dexerous give his pelt a firm shake, though his muscles remained tense under the thick coat. The loner was as black as a raven's feather, fixed perfectly still with his eyes settled on the rex. The Mexican canine might have been impressed by the loner's stealth and mechanics, then again, Dexerous would simply prefer to call it a lucky blow. He started toward the ebony vixen, amber eyes inspecting every fibre of the loner's being. "You best be more leery of this land, Loner. You are an enemy as I see it." The massive brute cooed half-heartedly, laced with the underlying tones of warning. Despite this, the alpha refrained from aggression just yet, the loner was a curious fellow. Dexerous narrowed his eyes, pausing a deer's length from the stinger. "Why are you here, trespasser?"

Dyrid watched silently yet with interest as the Alpha of the Cougar Creek Pack started towards him. He had been aware of his head snapping up and a slight whisper of a smile formed across his black muzzle as Dyrid knew without a doubt that he had startled the Alpha. Dyrid let the Alpha get closer and closer until he was within just a few steps away from him. The black wolf allowed himself some relaxing of his posture and got more comfortable, showing the Alpha that he was not at all afraid of him. In fact this was all very amusing to the midnight colored spy. "I think not for you see, I've been keeping an eye on this territory for a couple months now. I wanted to see how you handled your new Pack. I'm quite pleased with your work."
His statement would obviously infuriate the Alpha which caused a small laugh to come out of Dyrid's mouth. "I apologize, it's just that you reacted exactly how I thought you would. Anyway, I'm finally ready to join your Pack, Dexerous." Dyrid wasn't a fool though, even though his words were proud and slightly arrogant; his eyes looked past the Alpha and the spy kept his head below the Alpha's. Dyrid would never really completely submit by groveling like the Omegas did but his body language would always be respectful of the higher powers in the Pack. "Name's Dyrid by the way and I request to become your top leading spy." Dyrid didn't see the point in walking around in circles when you could get right to the point of business.
