Dyrid watched silently yet with interest as the Alpha of the Cougar Creek Pack started towards him. He had been aware of his head snapping up and a slight whisper of a smile formed across his black muzzle as Dyrid knew without a doubt that he had startled the Alpha. Dyrid let the Alpha get closer and closer until he was within just a few steps away from him. The black wolf allowed himself some relaxing of his posture and got more comfortable, showing the Alpha that he was not at all afraid of him. In fact this was all very amusing to the midnight colored spy. "I think not for you see, I've been keeping an eye on this territory for a couple months now. I wanted to see how you handled your new Pack. I'm quite pleased with your work."
His statement would obviously infuriate the Alpha which caused a small laugh to come out of Dyrid's mouth. "I apologize, it's just that you reacted exactly how I thought you would. Anyway, I'm finally ready to join your Pack, Dexerous." Dyrid wasn't a fool though, even though his words were proud and slightly arrogant; his eyes looked past the Alpha and the spy kept his head below the Alpha's. Dyrid would never really completely submit by groveling like the Omegas did but his body language would always be respectful of the higher powers in the Pack. "Name's Dyrid by the way and I request to become your top leading spy." Dyrid didn't see the point in walking around in circles when you could get right to the point of business.

A pure black wolf stepped out into the open sunlight where the water was. It was very tempting for Dyrid to walk right into the water to relax in the warmth caused by the sun's rays. Though the black wolf refrained from doing so. He had business to do. The wolf calmly sat down and scanned the area around him. His ears picked up the sound of the birds chirping in between the tree limbs and the water calmly swirling gently. Dyrid swished his tail a couple times before going completely still. The only piece of his body that moved was his chest and nostrils as he breathed in and out.
Dyrid stayed like this for quite a while as he waited patiently for the wolf that he was expecting to sense him. After months of keeping a close eye on both territories of the Packs that lived here, this was the first time that the black wolf had ever crossed into one of their territories. At least to be seen anyway, Dyrid had his ways of scoping an area without even being detected. It came with the training that his father had taught him years ago. Though Dyrid had always had a natural gift of being a spy. This time though, Dyrid would not take no for an answer, though he also had a strong sense that this particular Alpha would know not waste such talent. It was why Dyrid had chosen the Cougar Creek Pack and not the other one.
The black wolf sensed another wolf approaching before he could see or even really hear the other wolf coming. Again, a product of his training. Dyrid stayed where his was, as still as he was, and continued to wait patiently. Just when the other wolf was within hearing range, Dyrid said softly, "I've been waiting for you."

DYRID Don't know how to put the image here THE BASICS;; Full Name: Dyrid Gender: Male Age: 4 years Breed: Grey wolf Sexuality: Heterosexual Pack: Cougar Creek - applying for Head of Intelligence Alias: Vera
DIGGING A LITTLE DEEPER;; Appearance: The picture is provided in the link. Personality: Dyrid is not a wolf that you want to mess with because he is one of those wolves where his bite is actually worse than his bark. In his line of work, it had better be. Dyrid demands respect from those wolves that he talks to. This wolf loves to fight, either physically or verbally. He has an almost unnatural ability to be completely silent; not like the silence that comes from hunting, oh no, much worse. Dyrid can jump down from high up and land with no sound at all. Dyrid is not much of a talker and prefers to be just as silent as the movements of his body. This wolf is also extremely patient and knows the importance of waiting.
Though this deadly wolf does allow himself some liberties. Dryrid loves to swim in broad daylight when the sun has warmed up the water. He also surprisingly enjoys teaching younger wolves the practice of becoming a spy. Though he is also not without fears. One of his main fears is of failing a mission, something that Dyrid will not allow himself to do. Though another of his fears is anyone close to him becoming hurt or killed. It's one of the reasons that Dyrid is so cold towards other wolves. Another surprise though is that eventually, Dyrid would like to have a family of his own but because this lies right into one of his fears, any she-wolf that had interest in him would have to push extremely hard to win him over. History: Dyrid was born into a Pack just outside of Yellowstone National Park. His Pack was a good one, a strong one. His father had been the Alpha and his mother had been the head hunter. Dyrid grew up with three bothers and sisters, all of whom he loved dearly. Together the family grew until they became one year old when their father decided that it was time for all of them to take up training. The training first consisted of each pup learning how to hunt so that they could provide for themselves if the Pack were to ever get separated. The next type was when their father individualized each pups training to what they were interested in or excelled at. Dyrid's sister and himself had that same uncanny ability to be completely silent so they followed their father's pawsteps in learning how to be leaders as well as spies.
Both pups learned patience and skills that would allow them to leave the Pack when and if they chose. At three years of age, Dyrid decided that it was time to go out on his own. The black wolf left his home Pack in search of making a name for himself. As Dyrid traveled, he did run across other Packs but none wanted a unknown spy joining their ranks, instead a few of them hired Dyrid to work for them. Eventually though, Dyrid got fed up with not being accepted into a Pack yet doing most of their dirty work. So Dyrid traveled into Yellowstone National Park, completely unaware of the reservation point. Within a few months, Dyrid had the area mapped out and spent most of his time keeping his eyes on the two Packs that had territory in the area. He couldn't shake the feeling that this time would be different. This time, Dyrid would find his new home Pack. All that was left to do was directly confront the Alpha he'd had his eye on for months.
THE FINAL TOUCH;;
